Mercedes-Benz India today celebrated its 120 years in motorsports on a bright Sunday morning in Mumbai by hosting a Classic Car Rally featuring over 65 exotic vintage Mercedes-Benz models. The rally started from NCPA, Nariman Point and passed through Haji Ali, Worli Sea Face before making their way to the iconic Bandra-Worli Sea Link and then back to the NCPA where it was thrown open to public. Interestingly rally was lead by the SLS AMG which acted as a Safety Car just like in Formula 1.
It was rare sight to see all the generations of Mercedes-Benz cars all lined up neatly at one place, you just cannot miss it and Mumbaikars are always the lucky ones! It was a “Sone pe Suhaaga” moment or the “Icing on the cake” moment for Mercedes-Benz this year as they not only completed 120 years in motorsports but also won the Constructors Title in Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsports.
