Mahindra launch the new-age XUV 500

The Mahindra Group unveiled the XUV 500 here in Mumbai, as a worthy successor to its highly successful XUV series which released in 2011. Introducing technological advancements superior even to its own lofty standards, the XUV 500 was launched amidst much fanfare. 




Boasting unprecedented features and specifications, the XUV 500 delivers on all ends. A mighty 103kW mHawk engine enables the XUV 500 to achieve a mileage of 16kmpl. With a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with GPS navigation, the XUV 500 also packs in ORVM logo projection lamps, static bending projector headlamps and reverse parking camera with dynamic assist, amongst other standout features. 


Also adding a touch of class to the interiors are the new black and beige leather set-up with lounge lighting, aluminium pedals and illuminated scuff plates. The XUV continues providing best-in-class safety features with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD & hill hold and hill descent controls. An electric sun-roof and chrome grilles highlight the stylish exterior. 



The XUV 500 will be available in the following variants : W4, W6, W8, W8 AMD, W10, W10 AMD; with a starting price of Rs 11.12 lakhs.



Presiding at the launch were Dr. Pawan Goenka (Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra) and Pravin Shah (President & Chief Executive, Automotive, Mahindra & Mahindra). 

Mr. Goenka stated, "The XUV 500 has pushed the boundaries for Mahindra since its launch, on the fronts of technology, capability and brand. More so, it established the foundations for development of an entirely new generation of vehicles from Mahindra."
