Tata Motors reported cumulative decline of 23% in sales for the month of July. Tata motors sold 39,623 commercial and passenger vehicles in July 2014 compared to 51,549 units sold in July 2013. The figures include sales in domestic as well as international market.
Passenger Vehicle Sales
Nano, Indica and Indigo continued to perform poorly in terms of sales which dropped 22% over same period last year. Sales of Sumo, Aria, Venture and Safari went marginally up by 8%. We assume the good response from consumers towards the Safari Strome for the increase in SUV segment sales for Tata Motors.

Exports for Tata Motors increased by 2% for July 2014 with 4,367 units exported compared to 4,277 in July 2013.
